The Cell Biotech Institute is a high-tech biomedical research, innovation and education company based in Harare, Zimbabwe with a mission to manage and facilitate treatment of all forms of disease using cutting-edge cell-based tools and approaches. We note with concern an increase in the incidence of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, digestive diseases, autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and others in the region. As such we have taken an initiative to be part of the solution to this widening list of health challenges. Our services lie squarely within the newly established personalised medicine space. Our quest to offer these services is guided by the realisation that every human being is unique, meaning their illness and ways to treat them should also be unique. Unfortunately, we continue to see an increase in cases of treatment failures that are blamed on the use of wrong medicines and the related increases in drug resistance. Our services form an essential interface between traditional clinical practice and the futuristic personalised medicine. To achieve this goal, we rely on a wide array of cellular technologies to understand and solve human health challenges.

As the first privately owned venture in the field of cellular biotechnology, we take the responsibility to provide specialist biomedical consultancy services, and cutting-edge research and development technologies in-order to ensure improved disease outcomes and enhance quality service in Zimbabwe and the region. We also seek to be a hub for information exchange and dissemination. We seek to build a repository for all biomedical data generated from the region. This serves as an empirical source of information to ensure traceability of all biomedical discoveries and ideas.
